Who is Max Thomson?
Hailing from Glastonbury, Max blends introspective songwriting with soulful keys and laid-back grooves. Starting out producing beats and rapping in the UK hip-hop scene, he has evolved into a singer / songwriter & instrumentalist whose sound sits somewhere between warm neo-soul and reflective hip-hop. Drawing inspiration from artists like Mac Miller and Loyle Carner, his music pairs honest, grounded lyricism with rich keyboard textures and funky synths.
Having performed at Glastonbury Festival, all over Bristol and toured as support for Gardna and Cali 2na of Jurassic 5, his live set moves fluidly between rap verses and singing vocals. With lush keys, groove-driven arrangements & banging beats he creates an intimate yet uplifting atmosphere that resonates strongly with festival audiences, club nights and more intimate venues.
What ever the vibe or venue Max delivers an electrifying live show made up of original songs and productions with undeniable energy and passion.

Supporting Chali 2na
while touring in north america
Max got the chance to open for the legendary Chali 2na of the Jurassic 5. At The northern Bar & Stage. (200 capacity, $20 entry fee)
As well as opening of Shred Kelly for the Fernie Stoke Fest in Canada BC. (500 capacity, $30 entry fee)
The city of Fernie then asked Max to come back and perform on the main stage for their Canada celebration. (2000 in attendance)
Max also performed at the 2019 Last Class Bash at Lethbridge University. (2000 in attendance)
Before then Max had a small tour of Australia where he hit up Byron Bay, Melbourne, Perisher & Thredbo snow resorts and then finally Perth.

On two recent occasions. First on Boxing Day,
Then again on April 9th 2023. (£20 entry fee)
At The King Arthur, Glastonbury. 130 capacity.
On Sunday 23rd July Max performed the headline slot at The Fleece, Bristol for their scouting session event. One of the most oldest and most legendary venues in the area. He has since been asked back to open for Future Utopia on Halloween 2023.
